X81 Brakes
From Toyota X-chassis Wiki
The X81/X83 came with single piston front and rear disc brakes. Vented front and rear in most parts of the world.
The rear emergency brake is a mechanical shoe type that activates by cable drawn handle. The rear discs have a drum incorporated into the center of the disc design to accommodate the brake shoe surface.

Skyline GTR / JZX100 Hybrid 4/2 Piston Upgrade
Using spacing adapters (available in Japan. Z32 front adapters are also available through www.flipsidecustoms.com) Skyline R32 GTR or Z32 300ZX 30mm thick front rotors and calipers can be fitted to an X8 front spindle/hub.
Using slightly more complex adapters in the rear allows the use of Skyline R32 GTR rear calipers to be mounted onto JZX100 or JZX90 Tourer V rear brake rotors. The Tourer V rotors have the correct size emergency brake drum with a larger diameter disc.
